GEPCO Peak Hours Schedule 2026
GEPCO divides the 24-hour day into two time zones: Peak Hours (high demand & premium per-unit tariff) and Off-Peak Hours (standard baseline tariff). Peak hour timings change depending on the season:

Peak vs Off-Peak Unit Price Difference
For 3-phase connections and Time-of-Use (TOU) meters, GEPCO charges higher rates per unit during peak hours:
- Peak Hour Rate: Approximately Rs. 49.50 – 58.00 per unit (inclusive of taxes).
- Off-Peak Hour Rate: Approximately Rs. 35.00 – 42.00 per unit (inclusive of taxes).
⚡ Tips to Reduce Peak Hour Consumption:
- Avoid running heavy appliances (inverter ACs, water pumps, washing machines, electric irons, water heaters) during peak hours.
- Charge electric bikes, power banks, and UPS batteries during off-peak hours.
- Switch off non-essential home lights and electronics between 6:00 PM and 10:30 PM.
